FirstBank Amphitheater Information

FirstBank Amphitheater

One of the most remarkable aspects of the venue is its location within Graystone Quarry. The seating and stage area has been created within the limestone surroundings, adding character, and paying homage to the area’s heritage.

The perimeter of the amphitheater is flanked by large trees within 140 acres of green space, creating an ideal festival and concert location. The 7,500-capacity venue opened in 2021, providing a high-quality outdoor music venue worthy of the area’s rich music history.

Since opening, Chicago, Doobie Brothers, Smashing Pumpkins, 5 Seconds of Summer, and many other globally acclaimed artists have performed at the amphitheater.

The amphitheater seating layout ensures good views from all areas with fully accessible facilities throughout. The close proximity to Franklin allows guests to combine their event with an exciting trip to this historical area in the southeast of the US.

The history of FirstBank Amphitheater

While the venue was only built in 2021, the quarry site it is built on has a fascinating history. During the 1960s, the limestone from the quarry was used to build the nearby Interstate 65, developing the highway infrastructure from Columbia to Nashville.

Following its important role in the evolution of the area’s transport connections, the quarry was then abandoned for many years until the amphitheater was constructed. Rick and Nancy McEachern took on the challenge of transforming the site, which had become a trash dumping hotspot, into the stunning music venue that it is today.

The opening of the venue was marked by a benefit concert, featuring some top country performers such as Maren Morris and Florida Georgia Line. The appeal of performing at this impressive venue has more recently attracted the likes of Willie Nelson and Mavis Staples. The venue has hosted the largest touring music festival in North America, the Outlaw Music Festival.

The amphitheater has been title-sponsored by FirstBank since its doors opened, so it has only ever been known as the FirstBank Amphitheater.
