Diamond-certified, GRAMMY Award-winning rock legends The Doobie Brothers are rolling out back-to-back milestones this 2025. A month following their entry into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, the four-piece outfit known for Billboard Hot 100 chart-toppers “Black Water” and “What a Fool Believes” will depart on a 20-date North American trek to promote their upcoming album, with special guest act The Coral Reefer Band. Get ready, Tennessee. The Doobie Brothers are on a fast track to promote their next album this 2025 summer season. In partnership with Live Nation, the yacht-rock quartet of Patrick Simmons, Tom Johnston, John McFee, and Michael McDonald added 20 North American gigs, including a September 15th show at the FirstBank Amphitheater, under the “Walk This Road” Tour — featuring the Coral Reefer Band in guest performances.Almost five years after their Rock & Roll Hall of Fame introduction, the Doobie Brothers have finally snatched their third HoF entry courtesy of the Songwriters group. Just in time, too. The ceremony, scheduled for June 6th, coincides within a week of their sixteenth album’s release. Walk This Road (2025) is a much-anticipated chapter in the band’s 50 YEARS of jamming together, and they can barely wait to share this enlightening new experience with audiences LIVE in concert.
Th is Monday, the GRAMMY Award-winning Doobie Brothers will play select songs from their new album, preceded by widely acclaimed singles “Lahaina,” “Walk This Road,” and “Call Me.” Fans at the event will be privy to an encompassing “sense of hope and togetherness” across tracks dealing with themes of self-recovery, with vividly sobering wake-up calls on the things we miss and take for granted.
The music champions the doobies’ signature sound front and center, blending Southern rock/boogie with its Californian counterparts, R&B, and blue-eyed soul since their meteoric 1970s stardom. Boasting Billboard No. 1 hits like “Black Water” and “What a Fool Believes” (which also won Song/Record of the Year at the 22nd GRAMMYs), the Doobie Brothers retain a legendary presence that towers over any venue in the world.
